Important to know before you start knitting
The ribbon yarn Can Can has a right side and a reverse side. When you are working, the reverse side should be visable. This makes the yarn edges roll up to enhance the frill effect.

Can Can Instructions

Can Can scarf size 20 cm x 150 cm

To knit scarf about 20 cm width, take up 7 stitches. Then work about 150 cm.
Cast off by sewing up each individual stitch with a thread matching colour. The scarf will lengthen to about 200 cm when worn. Please bear this in mind when choosing the desired length.

Steps:

1. Take up stitches, spaced by 4 cm, along the upper edge. Making sure not to twist the yarn.
2. Row 1, Knit into the fabric of the yarn, close to the cast edge. Try to keep the stitches approx 4 cm apart, don't worry about being to accurate, a good effect will still be achieved.
3. Continue in knit stitch until the scarf measures the desired length. When knitting, make sure not to twist the yarn.
