This is how you can help:

Using 8ply wool and 4mm needles.

Step 1 Cast on about 50 stitches. The exact number will depend on your knitting tension (this means how tight you pull the wool).

Step 2 Work garter stitch (plain knitting) until the square measures 25cm, then cast off.

Step 3 To make up a blanket, arrange 28 squares into four rows of seven. Thread the knitters needle with wool and gently slip stitch the squares together. Thread through all lengths of wool securely with the knitters needle.
