The Drapery’s range of New Zealand's Touch Yarns is constantly growing. We stock superbly soft, 12ply extrafine merino and kid mohair in brushed or boucle. Super fine 2 ply merino or merino and alpaca,or 4 ply hand dyed yarns ideal for baby clothes. Super soft merino 8ply and 14 ply Mt Pisa with its knobbly texture, super soft, light feel and quick results. They come in wonderful colours with hand dyed effects.  Possum yarn is also gaining popularity with its incredible lightness and warmth.

There are also scarf kits available, beautifully packaged with patterns – bursting with inspiration and style!

Sock wool – 4 ply wool with a small percentage of nylon for strength, Jigsaw from Heirloom, Magic Merino from Touch Yarns, Patonyle from Patons. Some plain colours and some ingeniously computer dyed to knit into a pattern. Ideal for socks, mittens, beanies or garments for little ones. We also carry the fabulous Noro sock wool - a colourful blend of wool, silk and nylon - beautiful!

Classes are available from 12.30 to 2.30pm on Wednesdays for all levels from basic knitting techniques to the finer skills of fairisle, intarsia, and textured patterns.
