In the Australian climate, natural fibres are so much more comfortable and healthy to wear. The absorbency and breathability of cotton, linen and silk, as well as the insulation and cuddly warmth of wool, are always favourites.

Turramurra Drapery stocks a large range of pure cotton fabrics, varying from the humble unbleached calico to swiss voile.      We always carry a selection of cottons suitable for shirting, skirts, pants and dresses, as well as patchwork fabrics.  Waffle cotton, batiste, pique and terry towelling are a few of the harder to find lines that we carry all year round.   There is also cotton broderie from France and a range of brushed cotton and flannelette, ideal for babies.  We also stock brushed cotton and cotton/wool blends (perfect for baby wraps), pure wool or cashmere/wool blanketing and Doctor Flannel.

Australian and Italian wool, some blended with cashmere, in various weights for skirts, pants and coats, is available all year round.  Wool jersey is also available.

Corduroy, polar fleece, moleskin and cotton/poly fleecy for tracksuits are welcome in winter wardrobes. 

A growing range of linens and silks are also available, with special orders welcome for formal and bridal wear. A comprehensive range of lining and interfacing is always in stock.

Even-weave linens, aida and Ann cloth are available for emboidery, even Irish linen for beautiful handmade handkerchiefs.
